Job description
Evaluates and treat patients in the inpatient, outpatient and Medical Imaging setting. Performs hospital rounds, obtains complete histories and performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients. Orders and furnishes medications, perform radiologic procedures (within scope of practice) under the supervision of a licensed Radiologist, treatment planning within the scope of practice and interpret physical, psychological and preventive health data to determine patient's needs and problems. Able to prescribe medications as allowed by scope of practice and pharmacy formulary. The IR PA collaborates with Radiologists in the promotion and provision of healthcare.
QualificationsÂ
License/Certification/Registration:
*Current licensure of a Physician Assistant through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice required
*Physician's Assistant Certification required or in pursuit of recertification defined by the certifying body National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
*Maintain current BLS.
