IT Concepts is seeking a highly experienced Human Resources Manager to join the growing IT Concepts Inc. team. As the Manager of Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our human resources department and implementing HR strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and possess strong leadership and communication skills. The Human Resources Manager role will include the interpretation and administration of all ITC Human Resources policies and practices. This role ensures adherence to corporate policies and governmental regulations.
Primary Duties:
- Develops and maintains a strong and scalable department that is organizationally people-focused
- Leading and developing a team of 3-5 employees to successful departmental and organizational outcomes
- Day-to-day administration of human resources functions, record keeping, and special projects
- Ensuring the timely reporting, and service delivery to meet and/or exceed established KPI’s
- Participates in business planning and strategic direction with executives of each business unit including organizational structure; recruiting and diversity strategies; retention; exit strategies related to contracts ending; impacts of organizational growth, reduction, or changes in workforce, etc.
- Balances a professional partnership with department and/or functional area management while being accountable to the execution of day-to-day HR activities as a member of the Corporate Human Resources team
- Direct short and long-term program departmental planning and development which includes but is not limited to resource allocation and budget ownership
- Directs and advises leadership team, HR staff, and managers on how to handle specific situations (e.g., discipline) and their implications in terms of employee relations, performance management, talent development, company policy, progressive discipline, and employment law.
- Implement and coordinate effective human resource management systems, processes and standards in accordance with business strategies and objectives and in accordance with federal, state, local regulatory requirements
- Provide information and counseling to employees, including new employee orientation, benefits counseling, drug/alcohol/covid testing, sexual harassment policies, assists in handling grievance issues
- Provides counsel in employee relations issues and engages with legal counsel as necessary
- Lead or sponsor cross-functional projects which address continuous improvement of operational processes
- Ensure strong stakeholder management and a customer service mentality relating to the products and services offered to ITC employees.
- Provide administrative support of performance appraisals, hiring, coaching and counseling, career development conversations and disciplinary actions of human resources staff
- Lead the embedding of the corporate vision, mission, and ITC’s high touch customer first engagement approach into the enterprise-wide HR practice
- Develops and drives talent management strategies to ensure effective staffing alignment with the needs of the business. Create systems to attract and retain talent, identify critical talent needs, enhance the development of core competencies and development opportunities, and engage leadership in succession planning.
- Directs the employee benefits program which comprises health, life insurance, disability, retirement, and unemployment. Serves as liaison with carrier representatives on design of plans, premium rates, and appropriate coverages.
Hybrid work environment: Need to be able to commute to Vienna, VA office 2-3 times a week.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Business Management, Organizational Development, or related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of recent related progressive HR Operational Leadership experience partnering directly with senior leadership to develop, align and implement HR and organizational development strategies.
- Minimum of 5 years recent related hands-on labor relations experience, which includes disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, employee grievances, arbitrations, etc.
- Must have experience with government contracting.
- Relevant experience within an OFCCP regulated environment preferred. government contracting experience.
- Ability to offer subject matter expertise on HR compliance/employment law knowledge, succession planning, talent acquisition, employee retention, organizational capability, leadership development, performance management, team building and employee engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workload and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.
- Must be able to set priorities, manage complexity, and plan in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive human capital and cultural transformation experience with a proven ability to demonstrate measurable results through the use of analytics and metrics
- Servant leader with proven ability to create and implement HR strategies while simultaneously executing HR activities
- Exhibit strong integrity and loyalty to corporate vision & mission
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and must have political & business savvy
- Extensive working knowledge/experience of federal and state employment laws is required
- Must be able to use judgment and diplomacy in interfacing with all levels of employees
Preferred :
- Experience with UKG or other HRIS applications is highly preferred
- Experience with SharePoint, Excel, and data collection and presentation
- Masters in Human Resources or similar field.
