About the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT)

The Indiana Office of Technology provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, reliable enterprise-technology services to our partner agencies so that they can better serve our mutual customer, the Hoosier taxpayer. IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.



Salary

This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $61,022. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.

Role Overview

The Resiliency Analyst performs and monitors procedures to assess and ensure the safety of information systems. You will protect the systems from intentional and inadvertent access or destruction.

A Day in the Life

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

• Assist in monitoring and informing the supervisor of the status of information security and confidentiality conditions including problem areas and recommended enhancements.
• Ensure the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.
• Conduct an accurate evaluation of the level of security required.
• Assist in developing information security standards to ensure the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information systems on all operating systems.
• Assist in recommending appropriate security safeguards to be included during the development of new information systems as well as legacy systems.
• Ensure maximum utilization of computer hardware and software features to secure automated systems and associated information.
• Develop and implement procedures for the use of information security management software.
• Propose information security software enhancements.
• Assist in developing procedures for monitoring, detecting, reporting, and investigating information security breaches.
• Review new laws and changes affecting privacy standards, physical security, and logical remote terminal and network security.
• Perform security training with other agencies.

What You'll Need for Success

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

• Advanced knowledge of information security software programs, policies and standards of information and security safeguards.
• Advanced knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulatory laws pertaining to information system security and privacy.
• Advanced knowledge of computer programs/languages and the operating system including mainframe/PC, Local Area Network (LAN), and dial-in access control techniques.
• Ability to develop and maintain information security standards.
• Ability to understand and apply complex computer logic to duties being performed.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of information technologists including systems administrators, technical support, applications development, end users and management.
• Effective communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
