Job Description

The primary Responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Technician includes:

• Manually Check off all containers on a inbound shipment to be received into inventory
• Loading/Unloading trucks – Accurately in a timely manner
• Dockside inspections
• Good Computer Skills / Learn Company Data base
• Prepare and properly label waste bins and waste containers for processing
• Record containers into inventory
• Run live inventory reports
• Work directly with QA/QC Technician/Supervisor, Shift Supervisors
• Follow QA/QC Standard Operating Procedures and Task Hazard Analysis
• Assist Outbound QA/QC Supervisor on staging shipments, prepping loading, loading/securing shipments,
• When necessary, work off site
• Cross train in all departments
• Ability to learn our LEL gas meters and their operations
• Make sure all Manifest are completely filled out correctly before signing off on Manifest Have completed manifest/necessary documents properly scanned into Company data base in a timely manner
• Maintain housekeeping in Warehouse along with the grounds, 10 day yard, QC Area, sweeping out van trailers after unloading and help when needed in the following areas as well, shipping/Receiving office and QA/QC area
• Be able to learn how to test lab samples (BTU /PH/Flash points) on waste samples
• Drive a yard truck to move van trailers
• Move van trailers to and from 10, day yard and loading docks
• Spot Trailer/ Trucks in 10, day yard and loading docks aeras
• Maintain all tools and Equipment used to do the inbound/outbound job

Qualifications

:

• Good communication Skills
• Strong work ethic
• Able to work in a fast- paced environment
• Knowledge of basic warehouse skills.
• Able to drive a forklift
• Maintain live inventory
• Have some computer skills
• Able to wear different levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Including air purifying respirator.
• Positive attitude and maintain a production focused environment
• Good Analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Qualifications

:

• Operate LEL gas meters
• Minimum experience in the hazardous waste industry
• Knowledge of EPA, RCRA, Federal regulations per CFR, And D.O.T knowledge (shipping name, packaging, Labeling/placarding requirements).
