Position Summary/Overview:

Working under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Manager supports strategic marketing initiatives, various communications efforts, and the exploration of new avenues for building and positioning CSS and its operating companies, Evolver and eVigilant, in the marketspace. The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the marketing department, including managing the staff.

Candidates must be located in the Washington, DC Metro area.

This position is hybrid but will require two days in the Reston VA office each week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Support the execution of marketing and communication strategies, plans, projects, and branded events. You and your team will:

• Develop marketing materials, including design and content and ensure our library of materials is up-to-date and reflective of our key messages and capabilities
• Manage digital marketing projects
• Manage the various CSS family of websites to ensure that they are up-to-date and reflect our offerings and brand accurately
• Develop and execute social media
• Assist with executing the creative vision of our brand, including developing graphics and visuals for digital marketing efforts, presentations, and campaigns.
• Support thought leadership and public relations activities that further our strategic goals
• Execute various types of external events, tradeshows, webinars, and speaking engagements
• Identify prospective awards and track deadlines, coordinate the application process, and support content drafting efforts.
• Be responsible for driving marketing ROI and KPIs

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 years of marketing and communications experience in a professional services environment, preferably in technology
• 3 years supervisory, managerial, and/or project management experience
• 5 years of experience in a client service Marketing role where you collaborated successfully within a professional organization
• 5 years of digital marketing experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• 5 years experience with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint for presentations, Teams for communication and collaboration, and Excel for financial budgeting
• 5 years experience with Adobe Create Suite, InDesign for layout, and Illustrator in support of graphic development
• 5 years experience with social media - LinkedIn and X
• 5 years Google Ads and Analytics experience
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communication, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Canva, Wordpress, and video production (Adobe Premiere or equivalent)
• Highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong client service orientation and the ability to collaborate successfully within a professional organization
• Possess excellent digital marketing understanding, written and verbal communication skills, and presentation skills, thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Self-starter and leader with accomplished critical thinking skills and a thorough understanding of the value proposition
