Job description

FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE

Works within a team to provide technical support to district personnel and students. This work includes computer (installation, setup, and repair) support, software installation and support, and network (installation, step, and troubleshooting) at multiple schools and other district facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides direct technical assistance to school-based stakeholders including students, teachers and administrators.
• Performs setup, troubleshooting, and repair services for computers, Chromebooks, printers, mobile devices, and accessories.
• Performs technical assistance and support for classroom technology (i.e., interactive displays, projectors, in-classroom audio systems.)
• Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots district-based printers.
• Support district-based cloud applications (i.e., Zoom, Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps for Education, etc.)
• Manage and maintain local site-based networks.
• Responsible for maintaining work through the district based technical work order ticketing system.
• Other duties as required by the supervisor.

• Strong interpersonal skills such as communication, active listening, and customer care.
• Ability to perform within a team or self-motivated to sustain work independently.
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to technical issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
• Frequently handles emergency or crisis situations and may be subject to varying, unpredictable, and stressful situations.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 12ft and lift or carry up to 50lbs.
• Be able to work within confined spaces such as crawlspaces (under mobile units) or small networking closets.
• Ability to perform job duties with little supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Successful completion of an appropriate course of study or graduation from an accredited college or trade school, or a minimum of 5 years' experience in an IT support related field.
• Current industry certifications such as A+ or Net+ (preferred)
• Knowledge or Microsoft and Google cloud services.

Pay Grade Skill Based LF - Minimum Monthly Salary $3,678.48 - Full-Time 12 Months
