Job Summary:
Hope Media Group the home of KSBJ, WayFM, Vida Unida and NGEN radio. This position resides in either Houston, TX or Nashville, TN. The Mobile App Developer serves as a member of the Innovation Department and reports directly to the Chief of Innovation. This position plays a key role in Hopestack, at the forefront of blending innovative technology with faith-based initiatives. Has a critical role in the development of the God Listens Prayer App, integrating spiritual content with user-friendly digital solutions as well as a deep commitment to creating high-quality, spiritually enriching products that inspire and engage our user base to love Jesus, serve others and share Hope.

Essential Functions: Technical Expertise and Development - Proficient in developing mobile applications using React Native, with a strong emphasis on cross-platform functionality
- Familiarity with tools like Expo for rapid, streamlined development and deployment across iOS and Android platforms
- Experience in utilizing styling frameworks like Native Wind for a consistent and responsive UI/UX
Problem-Solving and Optimization - Skilled in identifying and resolving technical challenges, enhancing app performance and user experience.
- Ability to optimize applications for efficiency, speed, and reliability.
Testing and Quality Assurance - Actively contribute to all development phases, demonstrating innovation and creative problem-solving
- Take ownership of tasks and show initiative in advancing project goals
- Ensure the highest standards of quality, maintaining Hopestack's integrity in technical and product aspects
- Guarantee the technical robustness and reliability of the God Listens Prayer App
Continuous Improvement and Learning - Proven ability to develop user-friendly, robust mobile applications
- Continuous engagement in the app's development, suggesting and implementing improvements
- Specializing in React Native for mobile app development
- Ensuring cross-platform functionality using tools like Expo and Native Wind
- Embrace agile methodologies and a mindset geared toward continuous improvement and innovation
Collaboration and Communication - Work in sync with the product and design teams to ensure alignment with product vision and user needs
- Clearly communicate technical solutions and challenges to team members and stakeholders
Demonstrated Faith - Pray for coworkers in team meetings or with donors/listeners as needed
- Participate On-Air fundraising
- Participate in ministry wide Christian bible studies
- Attend weekly Hope Huddle and team meetings for prayer and devotions
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the organization

Requirements
Education: Experience: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Strong background in mobile development technologies, especially React Native.
- Experience with performance optimization in mobile environments.
- Demonstrated experience building, deploying, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and secure applications
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Passion for creating meaningful, spiritually enriching products that make a positive impact on users' lives
