What you will do:
- Manage, coach and develop small compensation team
- Lead, manage and evaluate implementation of compensation programs, policies, plans and processes
- Serve as a thought partner and coach to leaders and compensation committee to understand compensation philosophy, practices and processes
- Partner with HR leadership on compensation related matters and contribute to data driven decisions applying your deep expertise while keeping a pulse on industry best practices and determine how they can apply to this company
- Contribute to executive compensation and board of directors compensation programs
- Communicate and engage with employees on compensation philosophy, programs and strategies to ensure alignment across the organization
- Contribute your expertise in collaboration with colleagues during mid-year and annual employee evaluations
What we’re looking for:
- Seasoned Compensation Director with life science industry experience and accustomed to working in ongoing organizational change
- Strong listening and collaborative skills to understand current compensation philosophy and how it applies to company culture
- Hands-on and consultative approach in working with leaders to align compensation strategy with business need
- Experience with executive compensation and board of director compensation programs
- Ability to work through complex business modeling with long tenured leaders driven by the need for flexibility versus unnecessary structure
- Experience managing and building teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and presentation skills in working with executive leaders and compensation committee members
- Advanced degree a plus
