Job description
Job Summary:
As a Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, possess a strong understanding of industrial automation, and demonstrate the ability to contribute to the enhancement of our production processes.
Responsibilities:
- PLC Programming:
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC programs to meet the specific requirements of our manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other control components and ensure seamless communication.
- Control System Design:
- Design and implement control systems for new and existing projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive control system designs.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify and address issues in the control systems promptly.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and longevity of control systems.
- Documentation:
- Create detailed documentation, including technical specifications, wiring diagrams, and user manuals for control systems.
- Maintain accurate records of changes made to PLC programs and control system configurations.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Collaborate with operators, maintenance personnel, and other teams to provide training on the proper use and maintenance of control systems.
- Assist in the integration of new technologies and automation solutions to improve overall system efficiency.
