CPH has an opening in its Sanford, Florida office for the following position:
Experienced Transportation/Roadway CAD Designer with a minimum of 5 years of experience within a Civil Engineering Firm with a focus on Transportation/Roadway design, or has obtained a Degree in Computer-Aided Design & Drafting.
Duties Include CAD Technician/Designer Duties Include :
- Assist in developing detailed Roadway, Streetscapes, Complete Streets, Roundabouts, Intersection Improvements, Multi-Use Trails, and Pedestrian Improvement plans in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Preparation of, and calculating quantity take-offs (material quantities, areas, volumes, etc.) customary with civil engineering projects for transportation projects.
- Coordination with all disciplines involved in a project (Survey, Site Civil, Landscape Architects, etc.).
- Preparing submittal packages as required for agency permitting and phased review submittals.
Requirements The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Civil or Roadway Engineering Firm, or has obtained a degree in Computer-Aided Design & Drafting with an interest in designing transportation projects.
- Strong Emphasis on Civil 3D capabilities, with attention to detail and file management.
- Experience in Transportation Design is preferred.
- This candidate needs to be a self-starter, highly motivated, team player, with good communication skills whom is ready to work immediately on public, private, and commercial projects.
- Experience with FDOT Design Criteria is a plus.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record
