Job Announcement

Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board Community Services Board (CSB) is a large public behavioral health care system that serves all of Fairfax County in Northern Virginia and serves approximately 24,000 clients per year. CSB provides a comprehensive array of services for children and adults with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI)/serious emotional disturbance (SED), and/or substance use disorders and/or intellectual disabilities. These services include:

These positions provide thorough and comprehensive psychiatric evaluations; medication management; consultations, supervision, and collaboration with non-medical/medical staff, detailed clinical documentation; review of co-morbid medical illnesses, review/order laboratory tests; and crises intervention.

The population of Fairfax County is very diverse where 38.7% of residents speak a language other than English at home (Spanish, Asian/Pacific Islander, Indo-European, and others) and CSB recognizes that staff competence speaking a variety of languages is necessary to meet client needs. We encourage candidate's bilingual in English and a foreign language to apply. A foreign language skills stipend of up to $1,300/year (full-time) may be given for qualified bi-lingual employees.

Note: Two positions are available. One is a job share position for 20 hours per week and the other is a merit part-time position for 20 hours per week. Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctor of Medicine degree. Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency training program at the time of hire and that includes two years of experience in outpatient settings with medication management.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.

This position is emergency/essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and/or other emergencies.)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to communicate via telephone & face-to-face. Ability to climb stairs, lift up to 20 lbs., read, write, type/use computer. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Panel Interview and may include a practical exercise.
