This is a full-time position that works 8-hour shifts, Monday Sunday. The pay is $13 -15 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This role is onsite at our center located: 2980 Pat McKee Pl, Melbourne FL, 32940.

The Preschool Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the 3 year old classroom. The Teacher in this role should be high energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents. Youll have the chance to be a leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while positively impacting childrens lives. 

What Youll Do: 

Promote positive self-image by listening, responding, and encouraging independence 
Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching 
Plan individual and group age-appropriate exercises to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth 
Guide children in self-regulation using techniques from Conscious Discipline 
Ensure all Center policies and state regulations are met 
Maintain positive communication with parents 
Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards 
Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement

FL DCF 45 hour Certification required

High school Diploma or degree in related field of study required 
Minimum of 1 year of professional early childhood education or experience 
Ability to work with neurodivergent children 
Must clear a full level II DCF background check 
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills 
CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification completion within 30 days of employment 
Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teachers, and resolve parental concerns 
Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
