Description:

An Industrial Manufacturing of aluminum and steel products is seeking an Inspector that can read blueprints and utilizing measuring tools

• Checks Work Order specification, special notes, and revision to conform to blueprint/drawing.

• Maintains inspection area, tools and equipment organized and clean.

• Inspects and approves all production from presses. Stamps press operation when completed.

• Inspects first piece to conform to Work Order specifications and blueprint/drawing before continuing production.

• Inspects basic dimensions on parts to conform and inspect to inspection plan, Work Order specifications and blueprint/drawing.

• Etches sample parts to inspect visually and dimensionally.

• Checks defects on parts in reworked area.

• If applicable, makes sure S.P.C charting is being done by operator/inspector to conform to Work Order specifications.

• Fills out production first article according to inspection plan.

• Fill out hot inspector's daily report.

• Moves Work Order on Flex after inspection is completed.

• Notifies quality manager or designee of non-conforming Work Order specifications, blueprint/drawing, broken press, employee injuries, etc. that may affect production and safety.

• Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9001/AS9100.

• Must contribute to a positive work environment.

• Supports and maintains Quality Policy, and 5 "S" standards.

• Must have dial calibration and utilize calipers, micrometer, and various inspection tools.

• Ability to use and interpret customer drawings, specification and blueprint.

• Ability to write quality reports, business correspondence and communicate effectively with customer source and other functional department staff.

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts, carry out instructions furnished in written or diagram form. Ability to use on-line data systems and electronic media in order accomplish tasks.
