Brake Assistant: They will be assisting the press brake operators. Main duties include but aren’t limited to; loading sheet metal, sorting parts, heavy lifting, and using power/hand and measuring tools. ACTIVITIES / TASKS 1. Assists in set-up of brake 2. Assists brake operator with the forming operation 3. Place correct labels on parts and sorts to correct JIT kit 4. Assists in inspection of parts 5. Safely and effectively use tools such as hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment Pay: $22.6/hr for regular time $33.9/hr anything past 40 hours for OT pay. Shift: Sunday - Thursday and OT as required 10:45pm - 7:15am These individuals need to have knowledge/experience relevant to machine operation including blue prints and measuring. The position will be responsible for the setting up, forming, inspecting, labeling, and sorting of parts at the same time in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere. ACTIVITIES / TASKS 1. Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings correctly 2. Sets-up and operates machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines 3. Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion 4. Performs part programming on machine 5. Forms, inspects parts for accuracy, places correct labels on parts and sorts 6. Assists in performance of trouble shooting on machine when needed 7. Safely and effectively use hand tools, computers, measuring tape, and machinery
