Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Under general direction, obtains electroencephalographic tracings and measurements of brain function with a maximum understanding of the patient's pathological condition and physical characteristics to optimize the examination for both EEG and multimodality evoked potential testing. Provides appropriate clinical and technical information to the physician to facilitate accurate interpretation. Provides testing to all patient populations, including children, newborns through adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Works in Ambulatory Care Center and inpatient acute care settings.
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education & Training: High school diploma required. Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited program or AMA approved course of electroencephalography required. Must have Nursing Assistant certification, Medical Assistant certification, or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required. BLS required. R.EEG T credential from the ABRET EEG Registry preferred. College courses in anatomy, physiology, and/or biology preferred.

Work Orientation & Experience: Previous experience performing EEG's, Evoked Potentials, or Polysomnography testing is preferred.
