Do you love data? Do you want to build the next generation of data products at Disney? Join us! We are looking for a leader to drive the development and successful delivery of modern data products. You will own the successful roll-out of new features and capabilities that provide useful insights and drive growth for our business. You will lead all aspects of data initiatives including a studio of engineers who craft, build, and improve the framework and processes handling consumer data, ensuring freshness, completeness, security, and privacy.
You will sit in Data Products & Platform within the Technology & Digital organization for Disney Experiences. You will work closely with internal segment partners and technical authorities from across the company.
You Will:
Work with partners from around the organization to understand business needs and translate those into high value capabilities and features
Develop the strategy and roadmap for data products supporting Guest experiences
Lead the team delivering against plans, including both highly technical and non-technical resources
Build a strong culture of best practices and standards in data and engineering
Act as the deep technical authority on delivery practices, able to speak to capabilities and processes to multiple levels of the organization
Advance data collection strategies and onboarding processes enabling improved data capabilities while adhering to data privacy requirements
Stay in the known on the product direction for applicable technologies to understand how shifts in the consumer privacy landscape alter the Guest data strategy
You Have:
8+ years leading the delivery of data solutions
5+ years directly leading engineering resources and studios
Deep technical expertise in platforms, tools, and vendors in the data space - including those available in AWS serverless space and Snowflake
Strong problem solving skills, able to critically think through and elegantly address logic problems with code
Experience working with data processing and analytical technologies - including those available in AWS serverless space
Practical knowledge in real-time data streaming and high-velocity orchestration techniques, such as Amazon Kinesis and KDA.
Ability to navigate in the gray easily and work independently to guide the development, creation, and delivery of strategies and roadmaps
Excellent communicator and partnership skills with the ability to interface and influence across the organization, including Executives
Strong project leadership skills, can handle the creation of sprint plans across multiple initiatives and studios
Experience working in the hospitality, travel, or entertainment industry
Solid grasp and believer of agile development approaches, including DevOps concepts
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position is $156,620.00 to $231,110.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
