Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will meet
several of these criteria:
Required
- Five years of current full time Industry experience in Virtual Production
and/or VFX.
- Two years of part time or full-time teaching experience in a university or corporate setting.
- Experience with
game engine technology, on set Virtual Production or Virtual production workflows.
- A background in the Adobe suite and some
experience with 3d packages such as Maya and Blender.
- Specialization in either Houdini or Nuke.
Preferred
- BFA or
MFA in related fields
- Recent supervisory and project management experience such as VFX supervision.
- Experience integrating
emerging generative AI and machine learning tools into standard workflows.
- Experience as a director of animated or
computer-generated content.

The
Animation and Visual Effects Program is embedded in the world-renowned Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, ranked the fourth Film school
in the United States in 2023 by the Hollywood Reporter. Dodge College was one of the first campuses in the United States to install Virtual
Production facilities in 2020. The Animation building houses the Virtual Production stage as well as providing 24 hours a day Lab access to
students with a wide range of industry-standard software available to faculty and students, including Houdini, Nuke, Unreal Engine, Maya,
and Adobe Suite.

Responsibilities Instructing: Four 3-unit classes
in Fall and four 3-unit classes in Spring Semester in the Animation and Visual Effects Program.
Advising: Offer guidance on
students' academic paths to graduation and placement in Industry.
Emerging Technology: Advise the chair and program director on
emerging workflows through industry outreach in areas such as 3D Animation, VFX, Virtual Production, Integration of Machine Learning and AI
(Artificial Intelligence) generative applications.
Software and Pipeline Integration: Assist tech support staff and our chief
technology officer in curating new software and integrating it in the curriculum and our thesis project pipeline.
Administration:
Assist the Chair and Program Director in the day-to-day administrative operations of the program.
Industry Outreach: Assist the
Chair and Program Director in developing relationships with industry to maintain current best practices and facilitate student placement at
graduation.
