AMT’s Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Spatial Audio, Siri, FaceTime, Audio for Games, media capture, playback and API’s for third party developers to enrich our platforms. The team is looking for talented engineers who are passionate about championing the performance and user experience of audio feature and products used by millions of customers.
Key Qualifications
- Excellent software architecture, design and programming skills in modern C++
- Understanding of object-oriented methodologies, multi-threaded programming and operating systems concepts
- Experience with audio technologies and digital signal processing
- 3+ years experience in software development
Description
The Audio DSP Software team is responsible for hosting Apple’s audio algorithms across iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS . As a member of the Audio DSP Software team, you will help solve problems, help build out new features and capabilities, help productize our advanced audio algorithms, and provide developer-facing APIs for audio applications. You must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a knack for solving problems creatively. The fast-paced nature of the job requires that you be able to work well under pressure. We are seeking someone who is passionate about audio and is interested in improving the quality of audio experience for our customers and our developers.
Education & Experience
BS/MS/PhD in CS or EE, Industry experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
