We have current need for an
Auction Regional Managers to cover the Central or Northest portion of the United States.
There are three broad areas of responsibility: 1) Develop future managers. Provide the training, feedback, and support so that managers achieve their full potential. , 2) leading the operation teams that handles day-to-day needs for existing buyers and sellers, and 3) improving operational processes.
Major Responsibilities :
- Serves as member of the senior management team by participating in business planning, goal setting and leading or performing project work
- Manages plant or division of JJ Kane
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the auction business, including competitors, market pricing, cost, competitive intelligence, and industry trends
- Assist with relationships for major accounts by developing strong and deep customer relationships, understanding, anticipating and responding to customer needs.
- Ensure that business objectives are met or exceeded while ensuring customer service
- Coordinate business efforts with other regions and Altec divisions to maximize customer penetration
- Develop future managers. Provide the training, feedback, and support so that managers achieve their full potential.
- Ensure that Teams are mission oriented and customer focused. Train and over-communicate the Altec Culture.
- Manage the dissemination of information. Ensure that this information is making it to all teams and being adopted in accordance to company-wide procedures.
- Implement an effective and timely feedback process that concentrates on Accountability, Cross-training, Skills, and Deadlines.
- Track & report regional, location, and company-wide metrics to gauge accuracy, productivity of teams, progress towards initiatives, etc.
- Manage the staffing process, such as scheduling and hiring to ensure levels are sufficient, hold associates accountable for work quality and performance and manage through developing and communicating excellent standards of process quality and service
- Responsible for setting up work standards, processes and procedures
- Responsible for developing KPI's that lead to improved team performance
- All other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Skills Required: - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years experience with at least five years of management experience.
- Demonstrated competency in the understanding of customer requirements; fosters a work environment where associates work together to efficiently produce quality products in a manner consistent with corporate policies and procedures. Excellent communication, coaching, mentoring, relationship, management and organization skills required.
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Travels around 35% of the time.
- Mechanical aptitude, product or industry knowledge required
