JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor, Maintenance oversees a staff of maintenance technicians who perform preventative maintenance service and repair work on food manufacturing equipment, facility infrastructure, and electrical and controls components. Helps develop maintenance procedures and ensures the team follows all company policies This position plans and directs a team of technicians to regularly inspect equipment and execute various maintenance work to ensure the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops Maintenance Technicians.
- Responsible for the day-to-day reporting and overall management of Maintenance Technicians, PM Program, and Work Order completion.
- Analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine cause of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
- Develop and implement methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve human and food safety.
- Ensures the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration Safety regulations
- Maintain Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting the performance of maintenance functions
- Provide long term solutions and day-to-day support to all operating teams having issues with troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.
- Perform machine root cause investigations and propose corrective actions for execution.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Ability to work independently and take on new tasks as assigned and adjust multiple concurrent priorities; many needing immediate resolution.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a maintenance mechanic or electrician in an industrial food manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3+ years of Supervisor experience in a multiple machine facility
- Must complete OSHA 10_hour training within the first 3 months of work

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Experience with CMMS/EAMS or similar and Microsoft suite are required
- Must be a highly structured, disciplined, organized, and motivated individual with keen sense of attention to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Will report to a manufacturing facility on a full-time basis where prolonged periods of sitting or standing will occur.
- Hazards associated with working in a food manufacturing facility. Wet, humid, hot, and noise.
- Protective clothing or personal devices required: Rain suits, smocks, protective gloves, goggles, safety glasses, face shield, hearing protection, bump caps and/or hard hats and any other personal protective equipment (PPE) as deemed necessary to perform the job safely.
