LOCUM Physician
Start ASAP
8-hour shifts, 1-2 days a week.
Pay $120 but can go up to $135
You can set your own schedule M-F based on days you have available.
They’ll make rounds, sign off on charts from NP/PA.
We are seeking a Part-time or Full-time Locum Tenens BE/BC Physician interested in working with a care model that delivers exceptional results in post-acute and long-term care at a Skilled Nursing Facility. This position will serve the Emporia, VA area.
Responsibilities:
Start date: 2-3 weeks
- Six (6) month contract
- Part Time
- Open to 1-2 days coverage/week , 8 hour shifts
- MD handles admissions (sign off) and patient recertification
- Pre-rounds and full H&P performed by NP; med management/stabilization
- Serves in a support role for the NP for chronic patients
- Coordinate and provide exceptional and appropriate care to patients
- ADC 20-22 patients/day
- EMR: Gehrimed; Facility uses Point Click Care; training provided
- Ability to document on site or at home; laptop provided; document within 24-48hrs max.
Qualifications:
- Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, Primary Care
- Active/clear Virginia Medical License
- Unencumbered DEA license required
- Self-motivated, directed, flexible and a team player
- Ability to chart daily visits in an EMR in a timely manner
- Clean Background for expedited credentialing
- Positive attitude and customer service oriented
