The Shipping Clerk is responsible for reviewing, editing, and inputting production and shipping information. Facilitates the flow of paperwork through the shipping department. The Shipping Clerk must have an extreme eye for detail and high level of accuracy. The Shipping Clerk is comfortable working with a variety of personalities and work independently in a high-volume environment.
SHIFT: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Wednesday through Friday. This role has an on-call overtime requirement every other Saturday.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Verifies the accuracy of completed loads from loading crews including the ship confirmations.
Prints the consolidated packing slip for outbound loads and matches with the load layout diagram.
Prepares completed packing slip and bill of ladings for outbound loads.
Prepares backorder sheets and sends email notifications.
Receives empty trailers and containers, gives truck drivers completed loads, and provides answers to questions and directions when needed.
Provides assistance to visitors in the facility.
Answers phone in shipping office. Also answers phone during off hours and pages appropriate people when plant wide line rings.
Maintains files in shipping office containing directions to Amarr Door Center locations and Amarr direct customers.
Maintains Load Log and shipping schedule for outbound loads.
Prepares weekend pickup lists and places completed truck load paperwork in nose boxes of trailers at shift end. (not another shift scheduled for the weekend)
Emails copy of completed loads to RTI at the end of the shift on Friday night.
Inputs a variety of information supplied by shipping supervision and provides assistance and solutions to supervisors and Production Manager when called upon on a variety of subjects.
Distributes paperwork to Accounting and back order reports to Customer Service.
Reviews and corrects old orders at ship confirm status.
Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light office duties and activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS):
Must have basic computer skills including knowledge of MS office products.
Must be attentive to detail and accuracy.
Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
Duties required professional verbal and written communications skills.
Must be able to work well independently, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment.
Oracle / Enterprise One / JD Edwards experience a plus.
