We invite applicants to apply for the position of Limnological Researcher in the Biological Limnology lab of the Large Lakes Observatory (University of Minnesota Duluth). The successful candidate will join a multi-institutional research project on the ecology of seasonally-freezing lakes. This position is open to recent university graduates with a BS/BA degree and limited work experience in their field (<1 year).

The successful candidate will work with graduate students, research technicians, and senior scientists from multiple institutions from the US and Canada. This position represents an opportunity for new environmental scientists to build experience in cutting edge limnological field and lab methods, build their professional network, and contribute to a rapidly growing field of ecology (winter limnology). This is an excellent opportunity for young scientists wanting to build their CVs before pursuing graduate studies in the environmental sciences field.
