This position is located in Newark, Delaware, which is home to one of our two new data centers currently under construction. This critical role offers the opportunity to participate in and lead parts of a large-scale technology consolidation and transformation program across the larger IT Enterprise estate.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Network Engineer to lead our network infrastructure efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's network architecture. This role involves a strategic approach to network management, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in alignment with organizational goals.

1. Network Architecture and Strategy:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive network architecture strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.

· Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to recommend innovative solutions for network improvement.

2. Advanced Security Management:

· Implement advanced security measures, including intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and firewall configurations.

· Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.

3. Capacity Planning and Scalability:

· Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future network requirements and ensure scalability.

· Implement strategies for optimizing network performance during periods of increased demand.

4. High-Level Troubleshooting:

· Lead the resolution of complex network issues, collaborating with the team to analyze and troubleshoot problems efficiently.

· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network administrators.

5. Server Support :

· Maintain server infrastructure related appliances and applications.

· VMware infrastructure support, and maintenance.

· Recovery of servers from backup.

6. Policy Development and Compliance:

· Develop and enforce network-related policies and procedures.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security and data protection.

7. Disaster Recovery Planning:

· Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for the network infrastructure.

· Conduct periodic testing of disaster recovery procedures to ensure preparedness.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Related Experience

Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Senior Network Administrator or in a similar leadership role.

Strong experience with Cisco and other enterprise-level networking equipment.

Cisco Certified CCP, CCA preferred.
