Job description
The Process Engineer will drive the deployment of optimal disassembly and material handling practices using LEAN methodologies. The scope includes but is not limited to:
- Specifying the type of test to be performed, compiling data, and making recommendations for product design changes and final assembly standards. This will include the use of Design of
- Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis using Six Sigma principles.
- Ensuring alignment between operational processes and environmental, safety and quality standards.
- Identifying critical risks to deployment of standardized processes, and recommending, developing, and implementing solutions to mitigate such risks.
- Failure/Data Analysis: Plans, develops, and implements technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon to be released products.
- Deep experience deploying lean (along with the requisite change and program management) in an evolving industrial setting
- Successful development and implementation of new technologies that improve production quality, capacity and efficiency
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to bring together a diverse group of stakeholders to brainstorm, pilot and enact operational processes
- Project management skills, including the ability to meet tight project deadlines
- Analytical skills, including the ability to collect and leverage data to drive decision making
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (Master's
- degree a plus)
