Job description
As a Battery Thermal 3D CFD Virtual Propulsion Engineer, you will perform cell, module and pack level Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize thermal performance of GM’s Ultium Battery Systems under normal and abuse conditions (TRP). The candidate will conceptualize and develop a wide variety of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models to directly impact design and offset hardware testing. This role requires close collaboration with other VDDV (CAE) teams, while providing results and technical consultation to hardware design, development and validation engineers. Development of new and refinement of existing simulation procedures in the above domains is also a core responsibility.
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, Michigan three times per week, at minimum
