Responsible for information technology database engineering project and operations activities and resource management.
• Responsible for designing, building, installing, configuring, and supporting database servers while following established guidelines.
• Provide advice to business and technical personnel on data analysis principles, methods and trends using excellent written and verbal communications
• Recommend solutions by defining database’s physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, back-up and recovery specifications
• Maintain corporate data standards
• Manage the access permissions and privileges for all databases
• Collaborate with respective business application teams to resolve issues
• Define and recommend solutions to mitigate possible capacity issues. Highlights issues for concern such as, lack of appropriate resources and ensures that appropriate corrections are implemented
• Conduct system or database performance monitoring and tuning
• Analyze technical problems with applications and their associated databases, and implement effective solutions
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure team-oriented, collaborative environment
• AWS and/or Azure Cloud migration required
• PowerShell scripting required
• Manage database performance and tuning, capacity, availability, upgrade and patching
• Experiencing supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2012 through current
• Experience with replication (transactional or log shipping), clustering and AOAG.
The pay range for this position is $95,100.00 - $135,800.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
