Job description
Under general supervision, provides administrative and functional assistance to the Medical Staff Services Department. Responsibilities include providing initial contact and assistance to visitors, physicians and employees that come into the MSS office, first line telephone answering, replying to physician reference letters, preparing Board letters and correspondence opening and appropriate distribution of departmental mail, ordering and maintaining departmental supplies, maintaining files and minutes manuals for ready access of information in accordance with established procedures, and other duties as assigned by the department director.
Demonstrated ability to type accurately
Minimum of two years related experience in a hospital or managed care setting.
Knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications, WordPerfect and Micro-Med and/or other medical staff software.
