Job description
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Summer Intern to join our Energy Transformation Group, specifically working with the Clean Energy Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Tax Equity/Renewable Investing teams. The candidate will be primarily responsible for data/ financial analysis and project management tasks, supporting the team in driving sustainable energy initiatives and transactions.
The Internship
Held over an 11-week period during the summer of 2024 for undergrad students graduating between December 2024 and August 2025. The paid internship will prepare associates for a career with Walmart Connect. Work on a meaningful project, network with industry experts, and develop your skills while having an epic summer!
Responsibilities:
Collect, analyze and interpret data related to renewable energy projects, PPA contracts, and tax equity investments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures.
Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify emerging trends and best practices in the renewable energy industry.
Assist in the preparation and review of financial models, conducting sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
Assist in the evaluation and due diligence of potential renewable energy project investments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate, Bachelor’s degree program currently.
Expected graduation date between December 2024 and August 2025
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, PowerBI).
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Passion for sustainability and renewable energy initiatives.
Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, PPA contracts, and tax equity structures is a plus.
