Job Summary and Qualifications: As a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans. Your role includes maintaining patient accountability, managing care flow, reviewing patient records, administering medications, providing patient and family education, and handling incoming calls.
Duties and Responsibilities: - 📋 Assessment: Assess and evaluate patient conditions and needs.
- 🎯 Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans.
- 🏥 Patient Care: Provide general nursing care and comfort.
- 📅 Scheduling: Arrange for admissions, testing, and discharges.
- 💊 Medication: Administer medications as per physician orders.
- 📞 Communication: Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls.
- 📝 Documentation: Maintain and review patients' records.
- 👨 Education: Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
Qualifications: - 🎓 Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- 📜 Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or holding an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- 💼 Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
