What We're Looking For:

A dedicated, friendly Registered Dental Assistant, in Expanded Functions Level II, to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with patients and wants to make a real difference in their dental health journey.

Key Responsibilities:

- Expanded Patient Care: provide expanded dental assisting services, including but not limited to placement and removal of rubber dams, application of topical anesthetics, and administration of local anesthesia.

- Chairside Assistance: anticipate the dentist's needs and ensure smooth workflow throughout dental procedures by preparing, sterilizing, and passing instruments. Assist in a variety of procedures, including endo, perio, and ortho.

- Dental Radiography: perform and process dental radiographs (x-rays).

- Patient Education: educate patients on post-operative care instructions and preventative measures to maintain optimal oral health. Answer questions and address concerns with empathy.

- Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases in the dental office. Uphold cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations, following guidelines for sterilization, disinfection, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Documentation and Record-Keeping: maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment notes, x-rays, and prescriptions.

- Continuing Education: stay current with advances in dental assisting techniques, materials, and technologies through ongoing professional development and continuing education (CE) courses.

By fulfilling these key responsibilities, RDAEF2's play a crucial role in supporting the dentist in delivering quality dental care and ensuring positive outcomes for patients.

Qualifications:

- Certification from an accredited Expanded Functions Dental Assistant program.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Team player with a positive attitude.

- Familiarity with dental office procedures and patient management software.
