Process Engineer
Near Chattanooga, TN
A chemical company needs a process (chemical) engineer. The company makes a wide range of specialty products; the job similarly offers a great variety of challenges, opportunities, and responsibilities!
KEY:
- Chemical engineer
- Experience in a chemical plant; NOT for a design engineer. This is not a desk job.
- Looking for right person: there is training.
The position:
- "classical" chem-e support for operations:
- process troubleshooting.
- Process development and troubleshooting.
- Process Design work:
- heat/mass balance.
- P&IDs
- Process layout.
- Testing – processes, products, quality
- Project management - entire projects and as part of a project team
- Site operates under PSM. So PSM engineering, PHA, HAZOPs, risk analysis, etc.
Required/preferred:
- At least a 4-year degree in chemical (or very similar) engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing; prefer some in PSM environment.
- A nice human being to work with! Yes, a technical job, but all work is done by colleagues, not pipes and pumps!
- Must not need, now or at any point in the future, sponsorship or a visa.
- Willing and able to work in and around an active plant. Position is on-site, not remote.
Salary: 90,000 - $108,000, bonus, relocation available
