Job description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of VA Community Care services.

Your Role:
As a Senior Software Systems Engineer, you will lead a team in solving complex challenges to improve Veterans' access to community care services. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, design advanced system architectures, and develop software integrations using cutting-edge technology solutions. Your expertise in systems engineering will be crucial in delivering customer-focused solutions that enhance the overall experience for Veterans.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of large enterprise solutions from proposals to production.
Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop advanced system architectures using industry best practices.
Design and implement software integrations, including Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Utilize Agile & SAFe methodologies to drive project success.
Mentor and lead a team to deliver projects and meet deliverables.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
8+ years of experience delivering large enterprise solutions.
Strong expertise in systems engineering principles.
Experience with software integrations and API development.
Proficiency with Agile & SAFe methodologies.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Nice-to-Have:
Experience with medical Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Federal stakeholder engagement experience.
Previous team management experience.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Master's degree.

Compensation:
Salary range: $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD).
