Role Overview:
As our Maintenance and Reliability Manager, you'll play a crucial role in preserving equipment functionality, preventing premature failures, and optimizing reliability and efficiency across our operations. With your leadership, our team will effectively plan and execute maintenance and reliability initiatives, implementing strategies to improve Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) techniques, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and overall equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Maintenance Department, including training, planning, and directing work activities with a focus on implementing SMED techniques and reliability engineering principles.
- Collaborate with vendors to source cost-effective components and assist in budget development, considering reliability engineering principles in equipment selection.
- Work closely with plant engineering on equipment layouts to optimize efficiency and reliability, integrating SMED principles and reliability engineering practices.
- Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies to improve overall equipment reliability, MTBF, and MTTR, utilizing reliability engineering methodologies.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts for equipment failures, identifying and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program, tracking and analyzing equipment performance data to optimize maintenance intervals and improve reliability.
- Train associates in equipment use and ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping procedures, emphasizing reliability engineering principles.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed, ensuring minimal downtime, and implementing reliability-centered maintenance practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred, with at least 5-8 years of experience in maintenance and reliability management roles, specializing in reliability engineering.
- Proficiency in reliability engineering methodologies, including failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
- Strong knowledge of Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) techniques, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) principles, with demonstrated experience in implementing these strategies.
- Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS), data analysis tools, and predictive maintenance technologies preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with a track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
