Supv Digital Workspace Eng in GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:

Essential Functions:

1. Supervise Digital Workspace Engineers and assist defining and establishing priorities, providing support/direction and performing administrative tasks as needed .
2. Oversees installs, tests, and maintains End User Engineering/Architecture environment and supported software systems .
3. Collects and assesses information from the user community in software and hardware problem resolution .
4. Define, track metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to raise the bar in team performance and customer service .
5. Reduce errors working with the VMWare/ Storage administrators through process improvement and root cause analysis .
6. Produces support documentation on demand and periodically with the Manager Citrix Digital Workspace and others .
7. Help tune performance and ensure high availability of End User Architecture .
8. Develop test automation frameworks in collaboration with rest of the team .
9. Drive to meet organizational goals for quality, customer satisfaction, and first contact resolution and service availability .
10. Participate in engagements that have a strong business & technology focus .
11. Demonstrate strong customer service skills to provide onsite technical support focusing on strong listening skills to gain an accurate understanding of the situation, displaying a sense of urgency to resolve customer issues .
12. Ensure root cause analysis is performed in accordance with Gulfstream policies and standards .

Other Requirements:

1. Experience with EUC Hardware, Windows O/S, Office Suites in virtualized environments and Physical Environments.
2. Hands on experience with Intune, 3rd Party Patching, End User Architecture, Hardware Analysis, Monitoring, Thin Client Management.
3. Strong knowledge of Active directory/GPO, End User Architecture, Performance Analysis.
4. Experience with monitoring operations and maintenance.
5. Experience with AD, DNS, Imaging, SCCM and networking knowledge.
6. Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Intune, GPO, Thin Client Management, virtualization setups, etc.

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field preferred. 6 years experience providing Sr. Virtualization Server administration support and server configuration support required. to include experience managing professional level employees or medium to large, cross-functional teams or projects. At least Two of the following industry certifications preferred.: VMWare VSphere, EMC Storage, VMware VCP version 5 or 6, Cisco UCS (Unified Computing).

Position Purpose :

Supervise a team of Digital Workspace Engineers in different geographical locations and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Digital Workspace Enginnering and staff to ensure an appropriate level of support. Assists the Architecture and Engineering on policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, and corrected.
