Open until Filled Dickinson Public Schools is now accepting applications for an Early Childhood Program Coordinator (approximately 60%) & other duties(approximately 40%).
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Early Childhood Program Coordinator. This position primarily involves overseeing the district's Early Childhood Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of these programs.


Additionally, the Program Director will be assigned other duties based on their strengths and the evolving needs of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. A preschool coordinator shall be an adult of good physical, cognitive, social, and emotional health, and shall use mature judgment when making decisions impacting the quality of child care.
  2. The coordinator shall hold at least one of the following qualifications, in addition to those set out in subsection 1:
    1. A bachelor's degree in the field of early childhood education with eight or more weeks of supervised student teaching experience in a preschool or similar setting;
    2. A bachelor's degree with at least six months of experience in a preschool or similar setting and one of the following:
      1. Eight semester hours or twelve quarter hours of department-approved early childhood education or child development;
      2. One hundred twenty hours of department-approved early childhood training; or
      3. A director's credential approved by the department;
    3. An associate degree in the field of early childhood education or child development with at least six months of experience in a preschool or similar setting;
    4. An associate's degree with at least one year of experience in a preschool or similar setting and one of the following:
      1. Eight semester hours or twelve quarter hours of department-approved early childhood education or child development;
      2. One hundred twenty hours of department-approved early childhood training; or
      3. A director's credential approved by the department;
    5. Current certification as a child development associate or similar status, with at least one year of experience in a preschool or similar setting; or
    6. Certification from a Montessori teacher training program with at least one year of experience in a Montessori school, preschool, or similar setting.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 185 day with 20 additional days and administrative stipend contract starting in August 2024



SALARY: Determined off the 2023-2025 Professional Negotiated Agreement. The salary range is $48,500 - $68,625 depending on education and experience.
