Job description
As a Packaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for hands-on training in the packaging department and managing the packaging schedule. You will also be responsible for issuing Batch Packaging Records, monitoring processes during operations, and communicating with the quality department to fix issues.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Comply with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), and must be able to interpret, follow and review completed packaging documentation per compliance standards and established timelines.
- Supervise the on-the-floor operations of our dietary supplement packaging facility in a cGMP environment.
- Provide necessary training and ongoing coaching, discipline, and recognition of the packaging department, including performing annual performance evaluations.
- Maintain complete and accurate training records to ensure that all personnel is competent to perform their assigned duties.
- Issue BPRs per package type (i.e. bottle, blister/carton) and forward them to the warehouse to pick
- Prepare and manage the schedule of packaging products and resources
- Ensure the performance of all batch packaging procedures from checking the right product to be used to proper equipment operation i.e. in-process checks on BPR and yield report.
- Investigate and resolve non-conformance or problems identifying the root cause, and proposing process improvements through clear communication to the quality department and senior management.
- Take corrective action to bring required changes using change control procedures
- Ensure procedures of crisis management are followed by team members on the annual internal audit.
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager to ensure compliance with training requirements and that adequate support is provided to employees in the work area.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, grab, push, pull hold and carry.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion work.
- Lift to 40 lbs.
- Standing, walking, and climbing for 8+ hours a day.
- Must be able to handle varying temperatures per department.
Must be fluent in Korean
Compensation:
$21-23/hr
