This fantastic company is currently searching for a DVM to join their team and provide in-home care and telemedicine services to pets and their owners. The ideal candidate should be available for either a full-time or part-time position, with a preference for 3-4 days per week.
Working as a mobile veterinarian you will benefit from greater flexibility, the ability to provide more personalized care and reduced stress for the pets you are treating.
The role entails visiting pet owners in their homes, providing appointments lasting approximately an hour, and working in a Fear-Free environment. Around 40% of the job will be dedicated to office work, such as telemedicine calls, client communication and record writing. The company prides itself on being self-managed and transparent, and therefore requires candidates to possess high emotional intelligence, excellent teamwork abilities, and a long-term vision for the company. Although a desire to do surgery and/or dentistry is optional, a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is necessary. The company offers a negotiable salary range of $100K - $130K/year, as well as profit sharing and great benefits for a 4-day (32-hour) work week. Stock options are also available for the right candidate.
Key Duties - Provide preventative and medical care for pets in their homes, including vaccinations, health checks, and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose medical conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for animals, including prescribing medications and follow-up appointments.
- Educate clients on proper pet care and preventative health measures.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Active license to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario.
- A full drivers license .
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in small animal medicine.
- Ability to work independently and make sound medical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex medical issues to clients.
- Comfortable using technology for medical record keeping and communication.
