Job Description
The Sr. Director, Commercial Design-To-Value and Value Engineering is responsible for driving the strategic development of integrated design-to value initiatives for the Meals and Beverages portfolio, overseeing a cross-functional team and resources dedicated to gross margin improvement. The Sr. Director, Commercial Design-To-Value and Value Engineering leverages cross-functional partners and a consumer-centric lens to move beyond risk-averse enablers and drive opportunities across the entire value chain. This role will collaborate with brand managers and category leads to unlock and drive targeted design-to-value projects in support of strategic goals across pilot brands and develops standardized methodologies and best practices across the entire value engineering process.

Primary Responsibilities:
•    Build and lead innovative design-to-value programs from the ground-up to drive transformative results, taking charge of sprints with creative execution. Coach Brand Managers and category teams to lead identified initiatives through stage gate process.
•    Foster cross-functional collaboration to identify and drive design-to-value and value engineering programs and optimization across the entire value chain.
•    Collaborate with Category VPs, Brand Managers, R&D and Supply Chain teams for strategic alignment with category objectives and brand-building efforts.
•    Partner with Insights teams to identify opportunities to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
•    Guide and build capabilities within category teams to collect and analyze data to provide data-driven insights for design-to-value, value engineering marketing improvements, brand-building, and consumer satisfaction.
•    Track and manage short-term and long-term design-to-value goals.
•    Develop and refine standardized methodologies for value analysis and engineering; bring in external thinking to develop and execute best practices.
•    Champion a culture of change and innovation for breakthrough results, fostering collaboration and creativity across cross-functional teams.

Job Complexity:
•    Lead cross-functional design-to-value teams (brand leads, Insights, R&D, Supply Chain, Commercialization) with expertise to drive to results.
•    Partner and influence Category VPs.

Key Capabilities:
•    Minimum education required: Bachelor’s in Marketing, or relevant field; MBA preferred.
•    15+ years of relevant and progressive experience.
•    Bold, creative, change driver that “breaks the mold” of risk averse enablers.
•    Proven commercial leader who understands business, category dynamics and consumer needs.
•    Strong business and financial acumen, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional leaders and teams, with or without formal authority.
•    Extensive experience working with senior leadership while willing to roll up sleeves with category teams to build capabilities and breakthrough results.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
