deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Training Developer in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new learning products for multiple engineering disciplines, evaluating and improving existing learning products, collaborating with multiple teams to identify current and future training/knowledge/skill gaps, and administering learning management systems.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline, Instructional Systems Design, Adult Learning Studies, Education, or related field.
Experience Requirements:
- 3 years with Bachelor's degree; 0 years with Master's degree
- Experience conducting a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify and develop appropriate learning solutions.
- Experience designing and developing learning products for multiple modalities, including online, in-person, and hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats.
- Experience analyzing learning metrics to evaluate instructional effectiveness and improvement opportunities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, utilize subject matter experts, team members, and established processes to create and sustain training materials under minimal supervision.
- Experience developing maintenance training curriculum using ADDIE.
- Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) or equivalent.
Special Skills Desired:
- Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Education Suite, Learning Management Systems, or other related software suites.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required for the position.
- Experience developing learning materials for technical disciplines.
- Experience applying adult learning theories and instructional design principles.
- Curriculum design experience.
