Description: CMM Operator

Looking for a highly motivated person with a minimum of 3 years in aerospace inspection. The ideal candidate will be able to perform setup and use of CMM to measure production parts, This requires understating of 3D model inspection.

MUST BE PROFICIENT with the understanding of GD&T ASME Y14.5 2009 or newer

Contract-Hire

$30-40/hr.

Day Shift Mon- Fri // 1 for weekend shift (Friday – Sunday, 12 hours, 5:30am to 6:00pm) 

Responsibilities

• Be able to maintain and organized for a clean work environment
• Maintain a working knowledge of quality standards, part inspection, and preservation methods, and lean forward into new technologies and inspection methods
• Able to inspect castings as required using Optical Comparator, CMM, Surface Plate, Height Gage, Sine Plate, etc
• Selects and loads the appropriate programs into the CMM
• Follow Work Instructions to position castings on the automated CMM
• Initiates and monitors programs; operates CMM computers and equipment
• Responds to computer instructions and error messages during CMM operation
• Change and Calibrate measuring probs
• Evaluate CMM computer inspection reports for consistency with PCC and Customer specifications
• Review reports to determine necessary rework
• Mark parts, and make part maps for rework operations
• Supply reports and documentation on compliance with specifications
• Adjust coordinate system to "Best Fit" or "Balance" castings for Target Machining

Qualifications:

•Basic math skills and high attention to detail

•Excellent written, verbal and communication skills, highly capable in Microsoft Office

•Excellent troubleshooting skills

•Excellent communications skills in a leadership capacity, managing and working well with others

•High school or equivalent (Required)

•Aerospace Manufacturing/Inspection: 3 years (Required)
