Position Description: Under the supervision of Controller, performs full cycle general ledger reconciliation and otherseniorlevelaccountingdutiesincludingmaintenanceandanalysisofaccountingrecords,preparationofaccounting schedules,reportsandfinancialstatements;reviews and preparesjournalentriesandreconcilesledgeraccounts;ensurescompliance withgenerallyacceptedaccountingprinciplesandorganization'spolicies,procedures,andcontracts;andtrainjuniorstaff. This position plays a key role in maintaining the financial health of the organization and requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise and lead Accounts Payable, Payroll and Accounting Clerk, assign tasks, provide guidance / training, and conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate with external auditors, prepare necessary audit schedules and documentation, address any audit findings,and ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare various reporting to management, federal, state, and including comparison to budget, project accounting, cash flow statements, and various ad- hoc reports including any legal and regulatory filing.
• Work closely with program management and staff to ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and seamless financial operations.
• Address complex accounting issues, discrepancies, and challenges, and provide solutions to maintain financial integrity.
• Participate in developing policies andprocedures. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensure internal controls are in place, and safeguard company assets.
• Perform other duties, and projects asassigned.

Requirements, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

•Must be passionate about Caminar'smission.

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accreditedinstitution;aCPAisstronglypreferred.

•Minimum five years prior experience with GL accounting. Duties require broad conceptual judgment, analytical abilities, ability to deal with complex accounting issues including GAAP and FASBRequirements.

•Minimum of one year supervisory experience ispreferred.

•Knowledge of non-profit fundaccounting.

•Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including email and Internet navigation required. Experience with Human Service Information Systems strongly preferred. Experience with web based time and attendance and staff training and development system strongly preferred. Experience with SageMIP Accounting software or comparable software stronglypreferred.

•Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, a professional demeanor and to represent the organization ina positive manner at alltimes.
