Job Title : Regional Sales Managers
Location : Greater Chicago Area, IL
Type : Fulltime, direct hire
Previous outside sales experience with automation products, specifically pneumatics and electromechanical actuators.
SUMMARY:
Our Regional Sales Managers use their sales and technical skills to build relationships and drive sales through a high-powered distribution network and targeted OEM sectors. Once trained and established, RSMs have considerable autonomy for developing business in their multi-state regions. The RSMs are directly engaged in the creation of the company's strategic sales plan, where they participate in determining sales goals and the means of achieving them.
Responsibilities:
- Gaining deeper penetration into our established distribution network by equipping them with the appropriate sales tools, product knowledge, and sales call support.
- Identifying best-in-class distribution in areas requiring more thorough coverage.
- Identifying and penetrating OEMs within specific target markets that may require specialized products, knowledge, or services.
- Regional Sales Manager could manage up to 6 states (WI, IL, IN, MI, OH, KY), plus Ontario.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- Previous outside sales experience with automation products, specifically pneumatics and electromechanical actuators.
- Consistent track record of success in selling through industrial distributors
- Experience in applying value-selling techniques
- Experience managing a home-based office and traveling overnight up to 50% of the time
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- PC skills: CRM, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook. SAP experience is a plus.
- Possesses a valid driver's license and passport
