Title: Inventory Assistant

Shift: 3rd shift

Scope of Position:

This role is responsible for preparing bacon lines for daily production, assembling supplies and packaging materials that are needed for the slicing team.

Responsibilities:

• Review Make sheet for slicing team and gather proper supplies, materials, tools
• Assembling and kitting together all packaging supplies based on the production Make sheet
• Ensuring bacon lines are stocked with appropriate supplies for first shift operations
• Use forklift and/or pallet jack to retrieve supplies and deliver to lines
• Tracking inventory in SAP for materials going out to the lines, notifying appropriate personnel when supplies needs to be ordered
• Always use safe work practices, follow all safety rule and procedures, immediately report any hazardous conditions, and fully participate in safety programs
• May be required to work overtime and weekends as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Forklift/Pallet Jack License
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, Outlook)
• Ability to read and understand Make sheets for production
• Strong time management and organizational mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English
• Good attendance and safety records
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, crouch
• Plant setting, environment will include wet or humid conditions, extreme cold, and working near mechanical parts
• Nosie level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area
