Job description
Title of Job: Field Service Technician Country: United States Location/City: Multiple Job category: Sales and Product Services Position Purpose: The key purpose of the Field Service Technician is to carry out maintenance, inspections, repairs, refurbishment, and installations and related height safety equipment in a cost efficient and profitable manner while achieving high quality standards and workmanship. Service Technician will work closely with other service technicians, customers, and report directly to Service Supervisor. Responsibilities: Be able to carry out basic mechanical inspection services to all makes and models of BMU's and/or After Sales equipment. Work on minor mechanical repair, field refurbishment, and smaller installation jobs on standard equipment Be able to offer mechanical repairs and field modernization solutions to customers Be able to attend emergency breakdowns, identify repair mechanical faults on standard products Have a strong mechanical knowledge of Alimak Group products and services Have a strong mechanical understanding of Alimak Group Company, Safety and Risk Assessment policies and procedures Have a broad understanding of the related US Compliance Standards and Regulations Ability to work safely Ability and willing to travel for extended periods of time Personal Attributes: Team player – able to work with other disciplines to get best solution Strong 'can do' attitude with clear ownership of decisions Thrives and enjoys working in a 'change' environment with all the ambiguity that can bring Must be able to pass relevant background, physical and drug tests Skills & Knowledge Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Knowledge of electrical/mechanical theory strongly desired Able to read and interpret technical documentation Knowledge of US Compliance Standards Microsoft Office Knowledge Knowledge of service tools Knowledge of or able to learn Alimak Group service and new products Qualifications: Similar Mechanical Trade Current Driver's License - must have a clean drivers record and over the age of 21.
