Job description
Guide individuals and small groups through workouts and exercise routines in a safe and effective manner. Assist people with cardiovascular and strength training exercises to help clients achieve health and fitness goals. Coordinates care with internal recommendations.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Works with clients in small group, or 1:1 basis
2. Demonstrates and teaches training techniques and movements.
3. Creates and guides clients with personalized exercise plans and routines to reach fitness
goals, with a focus on rehabilitation and improvement.
4. Conducts intake assessments and maintains proper notes for athletic clients – FMS Screening
5. Promotes, develops, and implements safety and injury prevention measures for fitness
equipment and exercises.
6. Provides appropriate injury assessment and care, making referrals to other treatment
providers as appropriate (Chiropractic Care, OMM, Nutrition, Massage)
7. Monitors and evaluates client progress and adjusts workout plan accordingly.
8. Participates in programs focused on wellness, injury prevention, and fitness for active
participants (Group fitness)
Competencies:
1. Must maintain CPR and AED certifications.
2. Ability to provide excellent customer service to accommodate client needs.
3. Flexibility as hours may vary.
4. Ability to develop good rapport with clients.
5. Professionalism and excellent communication skills required
1. Nationally recognized personal training certification or College Degree in related
Health & Fitness fields
2. B.S. Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program (preferred)
3. Ability to conducts of Functional Movement screening (FMS) (required)
4. 2-4 years of experience in Athletic Training or relevant area.
5. Certified Personal Trainer or Athletic Trainer
