Job description
Shore United Bank is seeking a Loan Portfolio Specialist to join our team. The Loan Portfolio Specialist provides administrative support to Commercial Loan Officers in various aspects of the loan process. This position also serves as a point of contact for loan customers by providing a high level of service in response to questions, requests or concerns.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains customer financial files, specifically collection of annual required financials.
- Mails financial request letters, tracks disbursement of letters and documents follow up calls for collection of information.
- Organizes the loan officers’ work environment and schedules appointments as necessary.
- Assists with coordination of annual loan reviews and renewals.
- Assists in the preparation of loan request summaries and facilitates communication between underwriter, loan officer and client for new requests and annual renewals.
- Assists with memo preparation for financial and document exception reporting.
- In conjunction with loan processor, tracks production logs, referral logs, and pipeline reports for each commercial loan officer. Updates the loan database with any loans that are in process on a weekly basis.
- Supports branch staff with lending needs, concerns and questions.
- Provides excellent customer service to loan customers by keeping them abreast of the status of their loans and responding to their questions in a timely and professional manner.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position, Monday through Friday.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in commercial banking
