Job description
The Ocean Community YMCA is now seeking a Full-Time Facilities Director at the Naik Family Branch in Mystic, CT.
This Full-Time exempt position is an important part of the leadership team at the Branch.
Responsibilities include:
- Directing maintenance, repair, and housekeeping for the building and grounds of the Ocean Community YMCA
- Maintaining site appearance and safety of all property and equipment.
- Ensures compliance with all building, property, and fire codes.
- Advises Executive Branch Director on maintenance, custodial, and remodeling projects as requested.
- Providing coordination of subcontractors, service contracts, and estimates as needed.
- Managing purchasing of supplies and equipment for the facility
- Assist and coordinate with all special events.
- Develops and monitors budgets supporting the maintenance of property.
- Oversee facility needs for Camp Cove
Qualifications:
- Experience in physical plant operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical, heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems with the ability to perform maintenance in these areas as needed.
- Experience in hiring, supervising and training staff.
- Must be dependable and reliable with good communication skills.
- Swimming pool chemistry knowledge a plus
Candidate must also hold current CPR/AED/First Aid/ Emergency O2 Administration certifications or be willing to be trained.
