Job description

As the Technical Services PMO (Project Management Office), you will play a critical role in supporting the technical support functions at Q-SYS and driving operational excellence. Technical Services include Technical Support, Advanced Support and Technical Service (hardware repair). You will be responsible for helping to oversee the day-to-day efforts, managing projects, and ensuring the smooth functioning of Technical Support and Technical Service Business Councils. As a strategic partner to the Technical Services organization's Global leadership, you will help shape the team's goals, strategies, and initiatives, and drive their successful execution.

 

Base Pay Range 114,000 - 144,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans, generous time off and profit sharing.

Operational Leadership:
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the Technical Services leadership team, assisting with decision-making and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and efficiency of Technical Services initiatives.
- Regularly assess and report on the performance and progress of the Technical Services organization.

 

Project Management:
- Lead and manage key projects and initiatives within the Technical Services organization, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and create detailed project plans with clear milestones, tasks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate project resources, including cross-functional teams, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively resolve any issues that arise during project execution.

 

Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between the Technical Services leadership team and other stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and communications, summarizing key findings, recommendations, and progress updates.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and trainings, ensuring relevant agendas, materials, and follow-up actions are in place.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration within the Technical Services organization.
 
Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement standardized methodologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance project management and operational excellence.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in Technical Services and recommend innovative approaches to enhance effectiveness and impact.

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of related experience 
- Demonstrated cross-functional expertise
- Organized and effective communicator
- Proven experience in a Chief of Staff or PMO role, preferably within a Technical Services or similar function.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex projects from initiation to successful completion.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights and decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps) and proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
- Proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales, marketing and technical support functions, preferably in a B2B environment.
