Working within Axis Group Benefits (AGB), a subsidiary of AXIS Capital, the Sales Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales, Underwriting, and AGB Leadership. In addition, the Sales Assistant will provide efficient, professional, and courteous service to clients, and colleagues.

What will you do in this role?

• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the insurance products and services offered by AXIS Group Benefits as well as the market segments targeted by the business.
• Review new group and renewal group set-up document completeness, and accuracy, prior to submission to internal and external business partners.
• Complete required steps to set up new cases and renewals with our third-party vendors including insurance and service providers, our enrollment and premium administrators, as well as claim TPAs.
• Collaborate with Sales Directors, Underwriting, and Account Service Manager to meet new and renewal group financial goals and customer expectations.
• Distribute policy forms and administrative agreements to brokers or clients.
• Assists with incoming calls and emails.
• Consistently delivers high-quality work within the established time frames.
• Assist the Sales Support Team on an as-needed basis.
• Distribute customer reporting data, and other communication tools to customers and producers.

You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

What you need to have:

• College degree or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years' experience in a service environment
• Keen ability to work independently
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and establish priorities

What we offer:

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of 45k-60k (AZ). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
